Who We Are
BibleGround is a group of young Christians which gathers in Battle Ground. This is a group of approximately 50 people, one of two high school groups at Word of Grace. As our name implies, we strive to be united around the Bible for the purpose of grounding our life on this solid rock that reveals the will of our Lord to us.

Fellowship group leaders: David Morgun, Alex Taran, Polina Taran, Mary Kuzkin, and Tania Tishchenko
Age: High school
Group meetings: Friday, 7-9:30pm at Trofimov’s house (first Friday of the month is at the church)

Our Goals
In our group life, we pursue the following goals:

  • Application of the truth: We strive to marry the truth we learn to the practice of our lives.
  • Edifying fellowship: The small group provides a context for speaking the truth in love and growing in unity
  • Prayer: Our priority is to set aside time to talk to our Father.
  • Shepherding: Our aim is to bring each believer in the group to maturity (Colossians 1:28).
  • Evangelism: Through the small group we have an opportunity to not only tell the lost about salvation, but also to model the new life.

Group Life
Involvement in BibleGround consists of meeting together on Friday nights, gathering in fellowship groups (either in place of the group on Friday or during the week), personal meetings with the shepherd, and various other activities, whether organized or informal. When we meet together, the language of choice is almost invariably English.

During our time on Friday nights, we have a time of sharing and singing followed by a discussion of a sermon from the previous week (usually the Sunday night sermon). The goal is to penetrate into ourselves and conform to the teaching of the Bible. Afterward we spend about 40 minutes in our fellowship groups and sometimes end with tea and free fellowship with one another.
